The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Slack Tide Tiki Charters L.L.C. on Friday, May 9, at Galley Lane in Midway.

Kevin Thomas, chairman emeritus of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed those in attendance and congratulated Lorin Coppock, the owner of Slack Tide Tiki Charters L.L.C., on his business.

“We are glad to have you here, a part of this great community. Thank you for bringing your passion for being out on the water to Liberty County. If there is anything the Chamber can do for you, let us know,” he said.

Coppock thanked those in attendance and gave a brief history of the business.

“We saw a niche here where a lot of Liberty County residents do not have the opportunity to get out on the water. We go out to the barrier island and show the beaches, 9 times out of 10 you will see a dolphin,” he said.

Slack Tide Tiki Charters is a 23-foot saltwater catamaran Tiki Boat equipped with a custom sound system, which you can Bluetooth pair your device for tunes, a large cooler with ice for your food and beverages and can accommodate up to six passengers and crew.
