Chamber ready to tee up teams for golf tourney

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce is asking for nominations for business leader, business and civic leader of the year awards.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 20th Annual Golf Classic on October 17.

The annual four-man scramble will be held at Cherokee Rose Country Club in Hinesville. Teams are comprised of community and business members from throughout the county who enter for a chance to place in the top three and win cash prizes.

First place will win $550, second place will win $325 and third place will win $200. In addition, each participant will receive lunch, dinner, a complimentary golf participant bag and have chances to win a variety of door prizes donated by generous members of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with tee time beginning at 12:30 p.m. Lunch and dinner are provided at no extra cost.
