A fire at a Hinesville residence Monday has displaced a family of three.
According to Hinesville Fire Department Marshal Michael Scoggins, units from the HFD were dispatched to a home on the 900 block of Mandarin Drive shortly after 10 a.m. Monday.
When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the single-story home.
The fire was isolated to the master bedroom. Scoggins said the residence sustained fire and smoke damage.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
