Hip-Hop artist Quavo performs during the Salute to Summer concert at Fort Stewart. Quavo, Chase Rice and DJ Rock performed at the Salute to Summer event boosting morale for over 20,000 locals, soldiers and their Families.

Quavo and Chase Rice took the stage at Fort Stewart’s Donovan Field and entertained thousands of soldiers, family members and community members Friday night as the installation held its annual Salute to Summer.

“This is a great way to give back to the soldiers, the families, the retirees and then open the gates to the community of the Coastal Empire,” said Col. Marc Austin, Fort Stewart garrison commander.

Food trucks lined the edges of the sprawling parade grounds and there were activities for the kids, including climbing towers, rides and face painting.
