Downtown Hinesville will welcome its annual Scarecrow Stroll this Friday from 6–9 p.m.
The event, which is expected to bring more than 15,000 people to downtown, will have the Lego - style theme of “connecting community.”
“This is probably our largest event,” said City Manager Kenneth Howard. “Everyone is looking forward to this event.”
The Scarecrow Stroll will have trick-or-treating, games, hayrides, a scarecrow contest and more. Much of South Main Street from Hendry Avenue to Central Avenue will be blocked off.
Also back is “Sensory Central,” so those with sensory issues can take part in the event.
The city also has set trick-or-treating hours for October 31 from 6–8 p.m. Those are the same hours Fort Stewart will recognize for trick-or-treating.
