Assistant Hinesville Police Chief Terranova Smith has confirmed that the Hinesville PD is investigating a fatal accident that occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday on the 800 block of Elma G. Miles Parkway.

A man identified as Hughey Hoak, 52, was attempting to cross the roadway was struck and killed by a vehicle.
