The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and the Hinesville Police Department, in combined operation, recovered eight firearms plus methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The sheriff’s narcotics suppression unit and the HPD carried out a search warrant Monday in the county. They arrested one person and found eight weapons, one of which had been reported as stolen. They also discovered 24 ounces of meth and 17 ounces of fentanyl, along with Alprazolam prescription pills, liquid promethazine and codeine and marijuana.
“This arrest is part of a broader, continuing investigation aimed at dismantling drug trafficking networks and reducing the illegal distribution of firearms in our community,” the LCSO said. “Working closely with our law enforcement partners, we remain fully committed to identifying and eradicating individuals who seek to distribute dangerous substances and firearms within our community.”
