Leadership Southeast Georgia taking nominations for its next class
Leadership SEGA

Leadership Southeast Georgia (LSEGA) has opened nominations for its Class of 2026. LSEGA seeks visionary leaders, innovative thinkers and committed community builders from the 10-county Southeast Georgia region to participate in its professional development program.

Nominations and applications are accepted until Saturday, Aug. 23. The nomination form is available on the LSEGA website, www.lsega.com.

The immersive LSEGA program explores topics critical to the region, including health and public safety, natural resources, military impact, education, agriculture, transportation and infrastructure. Working professionals from Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh and Screven counties meet once a month for two- or three-day sessions, each focused on a central theme with related subjects of study.

The sessions feature location tours, expert presentations, panel discussions, professional workshops and opportunities to collaborate on creative solutions to regional challenges. Participants engage with leaders from government, business, education, nonprofits and community organizations to gain a comprehensive understanding of issues from diverse perspectives.

“Leadership Southeast Georgia is about empowering leaders to forge meaningful connections and work collaboratively to strengthen the fabric of our region,” said Stephanie Dammen- Morrell, director of Marketing and Business Development at Hussey Gay Bell and chair of the LSEGA Board of Directors. “As we open nominations for the Class of 2026, we are seeking individuals who are deeply committed to serving their communities and who are ready to contribute to the continued growth, resilience and success of one of the fastest-growing regions in the Southeast.”

Monthly LSEGA sessions begin in February 2026 and conclude in June, rotating across the 10 Coastal Georgia counties. Alongside core programming, each session also features personal growth training, professional development activities, networking opportunities and a group capstone project that demonstrates growth, learning and problem solving.

Candidates may self-nominate or be nominated by LSEGA alumni, their employers or other community leaders. The nomination form and selection process rules are on the LSEGA website. Requirements include:
