Fire fighters work to put out a blaze Thursday morning at a Long County mobile home that left two people displaced.

An early Thursday morning fire in a Long County mobile home park has left two residents displaced.

According to Long County Fire and Rescue Chief Chris Moss, fire units were dispatched to the Tibet Road home for a fire shortly after midnight. When units arrived, heavy fire and smoke was coming from the single wide mobile home. Walthourville’s station 16 was dispatched to provide mutual aid.

The fire was under control within 30 minutes, but the damage was extensive, resulting in two adults being displaced. 

The Red Cross was called in to provide assistance. No injuries were reported. The Long County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
