The City of Ludowici has been awarded a $1 million community development block grant, the state Department of Community Affairs announced.

The grant will go toward sewer improvements in the Bratcher Street neighborhood. It will benefit 108 people, of whom 101 are considered to have low-to-moderate income.

The total project cost is $1,187,286, with the city providing $187,286 in match and leverage.
