Multiple arrests made in wave of recent shootings
Crime scene tape

The Hinesville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division has worked in response to a pattern of gunfire-related incidents across several neighborhoods. Their commitment, professionalism, and long hours have led to major developments in a complex and still unfolding investigation.

HPD’s investigations suggest that many of these shootings are interconnected, involving known offenders and ongoing disputes. While some members of the broader Hinesville community may not be fully aware of the extent of this violence, residents in the affected neighborhoods have felt the impact firsthand.

In a post on its Facebook page, the HPD detailed the results of investigations into shootings in several neighborhoods.

Multiple shooting incidents in recent months in Forest Lake resulted in homes being struck by gunfire. Four individuals — two adults and two juveniles — have been arrested. A search warrant in the area led to the recovery of a stolen firearm and additional arrests.

Three arrests were made after a Honey Ridge residence was struck by gunfire. Additional charges are pending as the case progresses.

A shooting in Sequoia Circle resulted in one adult being wounded. While no arrests have been made to date, the location is tied to individuals already known to law enforcement.

Gunfire damaged a Meloney Drive home, and while no arrests have been made, forensic analysis is ongoing, and an unrelated firearm seizure may yield investigative value, according to the HPD.

Gunfire damaged multiple vehicles and structures in a single incident at Eagle Apartments. The area, already associated with prior gun and drug activity, remains under close review. This incident is believed to be connected to other recent events.

Nine weapons stolen during a burglary at Aim Center Mass have been recovered and five remain missing. The weapons were recovered through a coordinated operation involving the HPD’s criminal investigations division and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Over a six-day period, detectives and officers executed multiple search warrants and made several arrests. The investigation remains active.

More than 30 firearms were recovered throughout the city, many during drug-related arrests. Several were confirmed stolen, while others are still under ATF tracing.

The department extends its thanks to the men and women of the Criminal Investigations Division for their efforts. Their work, often behind the scene, has been instrumental in bringing suspects into custody, recovering firearms, and connecting key evidence across multiple scenes.

The HPD also thanks the public for their assistance throughout these investigations.
