Neighbors' dispute leads to gunfire Sunday morning

A dispute between neighbors turned violent Sunday morning on Freedom Court in Hinesville.

According to Hinesville Police Detective James Snider, two neighbors had been in a dispute since Wednesday and it escalated to gunfire around 10 a.m.

Snider said one neighbor fired shots, striking the other neighbor an undetermined number of times.  The wounded man was transported by ambulance to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, where his condition is unknown.

The alleged shooter is currently being interviewed by detectives at the Hinesville Police Department.
