Fort Stewart officials are investigating what led to a soldier being barricaded in a Bryan Village residence Monday afternoon.

Post law enforcement responded to reports of shots fired on Ardennes Court in the Bryan Village neighborhood around 4:30 p.m. Monday and found a soldier in distress in one of the residences.

A shelter in place order was issued around 5:15 p.m. but was lifted at 5:30 p.m.

One person was taken into custody without further incident.
