The Progress Through People Luncheon is a monthly event organized by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.

The Rotary Club of Hinesville, in partnership with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, will host two employer education workshops designed to help local businesses build healthier, stronger workplaces while addressing substance misuse in the workforce.

The workshops are part of WorkWell Liberty: Employer Education & Recovery Awareness Program, a community initiative focused on prevention, education, and recovery support for Liberty County employers.

Two sessions, both held at Ameris Bank, 101 W. Hendry Street in Hinesville, will be offered to accommodate schedules:

Monday, March 23 | 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Tuesday, March 24 | 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m.

The sessions will provide business owners, supervisors, and human resource professionals with practical tools to maintain drug- and alcohol-free workplaces while fostering supportive environments for employees seeking help.

Workshop topics will include:

•            Recognizing early signs of substance misuse

•            Supporting employees in treatment or recovery

•            Strengthening workplace policies

•            Promoting safe and productive work environments

•            Information about Georgia’s “Drugs Don’t Work” Insurance Premium Reduction Program

According to organizers, employers play a key role in prevention and recovery efforts. “Strong workplaces create strong communities,” said Leah Poole, president and CEO of the Liberty County Chamber/CVB and Immediate Past President Hinesville Rotary Club. “By educating employers and supervisors, we can help reduce stigma, support recovery, and strengthen Liberty County’s workforce.”

The event is free to attend, but an RSVP is required and is limited to 30 people. Businesses, supervisors, and managers interested in attending can register by contacting the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
