Suspect in Friday shooting turns himself in

Hinesville police personnel document the shooting that took place Friday on Bacon Road.

Hinesville police officers have made an arrest in connection with a Friday shooting. 

Adrian Perry, 20, of Hinesville turned himself into authorities. He is charged in the shooting of Kymonie Matthew, 17. Matthew’s injuries were severe enough to warrant being airlifted to Memorial Health University Center in Savannah for advanced medical care.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting on Bacon Road and found Matthew. Detectives followed multiple leads before Perry turned himself in.

The investigation is ongoing.
