Dozens of volunteers and the Manna House made Thanksgiving a little happier for nearly 200 families Friday.
Manna House held its annual giveaway, with help from the City of Hinesville and the United Way of Liberty County.
Nearly 200 families were served Friday, and Manna House held another such giveaway Saturday for military families, helping 177 families.
Founded in 1992 as a food and clothing bank, Manna House feeds an average of 2,300 people each month with its food pantry and about 650 people at its soup kitchen. It also cares for at-risk children, disabled veterans, low-income families and seniors, the unemployed, the underemployed, homeless and military service members and their families.
