A woman was wounded in a shooting Monday night while socializing with friends, according to the Hinesville Police Department.

HPD Lt. Norm Ewing said the shooting took place at Harbor Rain Apartments on the 600 block of Saunders Avenue shortly after 9:15 p.m.

The woman was socializing with friends in a community gazebo when multiple shots rang out, and the woman was struck by a bullet.
