Keep Liberty Beautiful

The Keep Liberty Beautiful Advisory Board, in response to the valuable feedback from our Liberty County community, is thrilled to announce that this year, we will celebrate Earth Day on a Saturday!

We are eagerly looking forward to what Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will bring. With the indispensable help of our community, KLB plans to transform Bryant Commons into an Environmental Exploration Zone for children and adults.

We hope everyone will come out to learn more about the Earth and why we should take care of it, such as recycling, litter prevention, and planting trees and plants. We live on this fantastic planet full of beautiful green plants, colorful trees, and blue water. This is a beautiful world, but it is also a fragile world. We need to take care of it. That is what Earth Day is all about.

Your participation is crucial in making a difference in our community.

We cordially invite you to be our guest at our 19th Annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 12.

We want everyone to not just learn about our world, but also to enjoy it and help take care of it daily. To us, the word celebration means FUN in capital letters, and that’s exactly what we aim to deliver!

Earth Day in Liberty County will be an event that truly has fun, games, crafts, music, and wacky activities, all for free! This event, which has taken months of planning, prepping, and rethinking, promises to be an unforgettable experience for all ages. Earth Day is a celebration for our community, by our community. Over 50 organizations, businesses, clubs, and youth groups have partnered with us to host a wide variety of 65 games, crafts, displays, and activities. We have several new games and crafts that share information about water conservation, stormwater pollution, litter prevention, recycling, waste reduction, and community improvement. Without the incredible volunteers and sponsors, this event would not be possible. We will also have food trucks set up to provide food, drinks, and snacks for a fee.

We are proud to announce the Earth Day Environmental Exhibit Competition. The global theme for Earth Day 2025 is Our Power, Our Planet.

Local 4-Hers in Liberty County, Long County, and McIntosh County are invited to participate in an exhibit competition with an environmental theme.

4-Hers may choose from the following topics: 1) Impact of litter 2) Stormwater pollution 3) Water conservation 4) Composting 5) Recycling and Waste Reduction Exhibits and displays may be table-top mounted, triptych, or three-dimensional. The display will need to be in place and manned by 10 a.m.
