Keep Liberty Beautiful

This Saturday, we’re turning Bryant Commons into an eco-friendly wonderland with fun and excitement for the whole family! Get ready for a magical green space of eco-adventures, laughter, and learning for all ages, coming to life on Saturday, April 12. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to support Keep Liberty Beautiful’s Advisory Board Members’ outstanding efforts.

This year, there will be Food Trucks like Maui Wowi Southern Paradise and Mr. Frank’s Table. We will also have sweets and juices for sale. Please remember if you reserved a fruit tree or flowering tree to pick up during our Earth Day celebration, you must stop by the Registration Tent to sign in and to get your Earth Day Passport. You will need your passport to pick up your tree.

KLB continues to go from the Great to the Greatest American Cleanup, and we will be handing out cleaning kits as supplies last at our Earth Day Celebration! The Greatest American Cleanup is Keep America Beautiful’s vision for making America look its best for our nation’s 250th birthday. You can pledge to join the Greatest American Cleanup to help create a cleaner, greener community. All you have to do is pick up litter, recycle, plant native species, and inspire others to do the same. Working together can make Liberty County more beautiful in time for America’s birthday on July 4, 2026.

We hope everyone will attend our celebration to learn more about the Earth and why we should care for it, like planting trees and plants. We live on this fantastic planet full of beautiful green plants, colorful trees, and blue water. This is a beautiful world, but it is also a fragile world. We need to take care of it.

We invite you to be our guest at our 19th Annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday. We want everyone to enjoy and help take care of our world daily. Before entering the celebration, you must stop by the Registration Tent to get your passport. I hope you will join us because we think this event has it all, fun, games, crafts, music, and wacky activities, and it is free!

This event has taken months of planning, prepping, thinking, and rethinking, and it will be something you do not want to miss, no matter your age! Earth Day is for our community and by our community. Over 50 organizations, businesses, clubs, and youth groups partner with Keep Liberty Beautiful to host a wide variety of 51 games, crafts, displays, and activities. Without all of these incredible volunteers and our sponsors – SNF Holding Company-Chemtall Incorporated, TR Long Engineering, P.C., Jimmy Shanken-The Shanken Team, Yates-Astro, the Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau, McDonald’s Doddco, Inc., and Inframark-ESG - this event would not be possible.

At the Earth Day Celebration, you’ll learn about the problems that litter and stormwater create by journeying through a storm drain. But don’t worry, it’s not all serious stuff! You can also learn about water conservation and the difference that recycling can make by going through an earth-friendly obstacle course, including toilets and recycling bins, a tarp creek, and tires. There are loads of different activities for kids of all ages, and we’ve made sure there’s something for everyone.

For parents and young-at-heart adults, there are plenty of enjoyable activities, including our fairy gardens, herb gardens, and information on composting. The Earth Day Celebration is filled with cute and entertaining components that you’ll have to see for yourself. After all, taking care of the Earth should be a joyous experience.

So, please plan to join us for the upcoming 19th Annual Earth Day Celebration this Saturday. Our celebration is at Bryant Commons in Hinesville from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is free, and it is fun! But the best part, honestly, is that it is information that we can all use in our lives. Our planet could use a little help from all of us. Join us so we all can help protect our Earth. For more information, contact KLB at (912) 880-4888 or email at klcb@libertycountyga. gov. Did I mention there will be food trucks and other handmade things to buy this year? So come and have fun, plus enjoy some great food and entertainment.
