Keep Liberty Beautiful
April is here, and the Keep Liberty Beautiful Staff and Advisory Board Members are thrilled to invite you to our 19th Annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 12!
This year, the event will be held on a Saturday for the first time, making it easier for more families to join in the fun. We’re transforming Bryant Commons into an Environmental Exploration Zone filled with hands-on activities for kids and adults alike. Food trucks will be on-site for delicious eats, and we’re excited to continue our tradition of giving away fruit and flowering trees to celebrate the day! To reserve a tree, visit Sign Up Genius and search for our email: klcb@libertycountyga. com (one tree per household).
When you arrive, stop by the Registration Tent to sign in and receive your Earth Day Passport. Whether you’re picking up a tree or participating in the activities, everyone needs to check in and get an Earth Day Passport!
Earth Day is all about learning and taking action to care for our environment. We live on an incredible planet — full of wonderful greenery, vibrant flowers, and flowing waters. But it’s also fragile, and it’s up to us to protect it. This celebration is more than just a fun day, it’s a chance to be inspired, get involved, and make a difference!
We’ve planned a day packed with excitement, games, music, crafts, and hands-on environmental activities — all free! With the support of over 50 organizations, businesses, clubs, and youth groups, we’ll have 67 games, exhibits, and activities designed to entertain and educate. You will be able to Journey through a Storm Drain and learn how litter and pollution impact our waterways. Take a Wild West approach to recycling, by testing your aim and learn why recycling matters! You can conquer the Earth-Friendly Obstacle Course, complete with toilets, recycling bins, tarp creeks, and tires! You can also learn how to create your own mini garden, including fairy and herb gardens, while learning about composting.
There will be a lot of hands-on activities for all ages, whether you’re a child or just young at heart, to enjoy! We want to celebrate our Earth and empower our community to take action! Our planet needs all of us to do our part, and this event is an exciting way to learn how.
