Keep Liberty Beautiful

As we enter the holiday season, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the remarkable work being done in our own Liberty County through Keep Liberty Beautiful (KLB). Each year, our community members, volunteers, and partners dedicate countless hours to keep our home clean, vibrant, and environmentally responsible. This collective effort has led to significant achievements, and we couldn’t be prouder of the impact we’ve made together.

Keep Liberty Beautiful’s mission extends far beyond organizing cleanups. It is a collaborative effort rooted in education, environmental stewardship, civic pride, and community unity. Through projects that range from beautification initiatives and youth outreach to recycling programs, workshops, and large-scale service events, the KLB team depends on the dedication of people who believe in making a positive difference. This year has been a shining example of the power of partnership. At the core of Keep Liberty Beautiful is our advisory board, a group of exceptional leaders and citizens who generously donate their time, experience, and creativity to guide our programs and ensure our organization’s continuous growth. Their leadership is instrumental in enhancing community engagement and developing innovative ways to reach residents, schools, neighborhoods, and businesses.

The advisory board plays a critical role in planning events, building long-lasting connections, and helping the organization expand its impact each year. It is through their vision and support that many signature initiatives continue to thrive, such as the Great American Cleanup, Rivers Alive, the Recycled Art Contest, and the annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway. Their efforts inspire others to serve and remind us all that meaningful change begins with committed individuals who care deeply about their community.

To each member, we want to express our deepest gratitude. Your contributions do not go unnoticed. You are the backbone of KLB’s success, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for all that you do.

Our volunteers are the driving force behind Keep Liberty Beautiful’s progress. This year, their dedication has been truly inspiring, as they’ve collected thousands of pounds of litter from our roadways, waterways, and parks, transforming these areas into spaces we can all enjoy. We are deeply grateful for their ongoing support and the lasting environmental improvements they help create.

Volunteers include school groups, church organizations, military units, civic clubs, neighborhood associations, and families who want to lend a hand. Many return year after year because they know their actions matter. Each cleanup, each bag of trash collected, each recycled item, and each educational message shared makes Liberty County stronger.

Keep Liberty Beautiful is also proud to work hand in hand with community partners who open doors to new service opportunities and expand the reach of environmental education. From the Hinesville Rotary Club, the Morning Glory Garden Club, to local governments, schools, nonprofits, and businesses, these partners help demonstrate what unity can accomplish.

In that spirit of collaboration, Keep Liberty Beautiful is excited to partner with the Hinesville Rotary Club and the American Red Cross for an upcoming community Blood Drive on Tuesday, December 16, at Ameris Bank in Hinesville. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to all eligible donors who wish to help save lives.

Blood donations remain critically important, especially during the winter months when supply shortages are common. Every donation can help provide life-saving treatment to patients in emergencies, surgeries, and medical care settings. This event is an opportunity for residents to give a gift that truly matters.

In appreciation for participating, Keep Liberty Beautiful will be handing out free flower bulbs that can be planted now and enjoyed this coming spring, a symbolic reminder that acts of service help grow something beautiful. Just as each bulb planted becomes a bloom in the months ahead, each donation, each volunteer hour, and each partnership helps build a stronger community. As the year draws to a close, Keep Liberty Beautiful extends sincere thanks to all who contribute to environmental stewardship and community improvement. Whether you serve as a board member, volunteer at cleanups, donate materials, spread awareness, or support events like the upcoming blood drive, your efforts create real and lasting change.

This season, we are grateful for:

• Advisory board members who lead with dedication

• Volunteers who give their time and energy

• Community partners who stand ready to collaborate

• Residents who take pride in helping Liberty County shine We encourage everyone to stay involved, stay inspired, and stay connected. Your ongoing involvement is crucial to our mission. When we work together, we build a cleaner, greener, and more caring community for all.
