Dear Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to longtime Hinesville attorney Billy N. Jones on being honored as the Humanitarian of the Year by the Liberty County Boys and Girls Club.

A Georgia Bar member since 1972 and a supporter of the Liberty County Boys and Girls Club since its inception, Mr. Jones has also served the community as president of the Rotary Club of Hinesville and chair of the United Way of Liberty County, among others. Additionally, he has served his profession as president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is a recipient of the State Bar of Georgia General Practice & Trial Section’s Tradition of Excellence Award.

We salute our colleague Billy Jones on having earned this prestigious award and thank him for his exemplary career of community and professional service.
