The Liberty County Lady Panthers took home three firstplace finishes at the Class AAA girls Sectional B track meet at Jefferson High School.

Jaidyn Hayes won the discus and Riniya Roberts took first in the pole vault, while Zy’kira Anderson won the triple jump.

Hayes, a senior at Liberty County, took the discus with a best of 119 feet, 7 inches. She also finished fourth in the discus at 35-2. Roberts, a senior at Liberty, tied with five others with a best effort of 8 feet. Anderson, also a senior, posted a best of 37-2.5.

Anderson took second in the long jump at 18-5.75.

The 4x100 meter relay team was fourth at 50.52 seconds and the girls 4x200 meter relay finished eighth to earn a spot in the Class AAA state track meet.

Brandon Roberts finished in a tie for fourth in the high jump at 5 feet, 10 inches, and Noel Best finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles at 15.81 seconds.

The Class AAA state track meet will be held May 9-10 at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany.
