Lady Tigers continue hot start with romp over Beach

A big second quarter helped carry the Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers to a win over Beach and to 4-0 on the season.

The Lady Tigers downed their former rival Lady Bulldogs 67-23 Monday in the Joe Greene Classic in Savannah, using a 20-3 run in the second quarter to take control of the game.

Destini McLemore led Bradwell with 18 points while Ja’Nya Bush, who also had a double-double with 11 rebounds, and Mikayla Oliveira each scored 14. Janiyah Blevins finished with nine points and Jamia Ousley added seven points.

Blevins also notched eight assists, and McLemore and Oliveira each had four steals.

Ten Lady Tigers scored as they rolled to 59-16 romp over St. Andrew’s on Friday. Ousley topped the Lady Tigers with 17 points and McLemore added 10 points. Bush chipped in nine points and Blevins and Oliveira each had six points.

Ousley also had eight steals, while Oliveria and McLemore had eight rebounds each and Bush handed out five assists.

Bradwell finished the Joe Greene on Tuesday against Dougherty. The Lady Tigers return to the BI gym on December 5 against Lowndes and will host Groves on December 6.
