The Liberty County Recreation Department crowned its champions in youth softball and baseball and in adult softball.

The Breakers won the 8U softball title after beating the Angels 15-0 in the championship game. Liberty Propane claimed the 10U crown with a 16-12 win over Boggs in the title game. The 12U title went to American Legion after an 11-8 triumph over Blossom Florist in the championship round. The Heartbreakers topped the Diamonds 8-7 in the 17U championship.

Third-seeded Bootleggers downed top-seeded JJ’s Bar and Grill 23-12 in the adult softball championship winner take all third game. Bootleggers beat JJ’s 12-9 in the winner’s bracket finale but JJ’s came back with a 21-6 win to take the first game of the championship round.

In the 8U baseball division, the Braves edged the Cardinals 7-6 in the championship game to claim the crown. Sanitary Plumbing won all three of its games in the 10U tournament, culminating in a 2-1 win over Vida to win that division. HPD downed Coldwell Banker 10-7 to take the 12U title and Jody Smiley Landscaping, which won its opener 1-0, beat Lock Poppers 16-11 to take the 14U championship.
