The Liberty County Panthers boys basketball picked up its first win of the season, beating the Bryan County Redskins 59-39 on Saturday afternoon
The Panthers opened the game with four 3-pointers, two from Chris Miller, in the first quarter alone. Elijah Brown’s 3 ended a 7-0 Bryan County run early in the second quarter.
Brown led the way with 24 points.
The Lady Panthers fell 34-27 to the Lady Redskins, falling to 2-2 on the season.
Liberty County is on the road December 12 at Johnson in a Region 3-AAA matchup and hosts Jenkins on December 16 in region play.
