Five members of the Liberty County High School softball received postseason acclaim from Region 3-AAA coaches.
Sophomores Kayleigh Barnard and Layla Santiago and juniors Brighton Harpe and Mya Armstrong were named to the all-region first team. Barnard hit .382 with one home run and 14 RBIs, Santiago hit .342 with five homers and drove in 26 runs, Harpe hit .413 with one homer and 26 RBIs and Armstrong hit .379 with a homer and 19 RBIs.
Senior Amiyah Payne was named to the all-region second team after hitting .400.
Liberty County finished the season 19-14, losing in the first round of the Class AAA state playoffs to North Hall.
