ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2025 Softball All-SIAC teams and individual honorees April 28 as voted by the conference’s head coaches and sports information directors.
Among those honored was Albany State University pitcher and Ludowici native Trista Murphy.
Murphy, who was one of six ASU players named to the all conference team, garnered first team honors as a starting pitcher. During the 2025 regular season, the senior pitcher compiled a 12-1 record with a 2.76 earned run average. She pitched 71 2/3 innings and had 48 strikeouts. Murphy surrendered 66 hits, 33 runs (22 earned) and 28 walks. Opposing batters had a .240 batting average against her.
It is the fourth year in a row Murphy has earned all conference honors.
As a freshman in 2022, Murphy was named to the All-SIAC second team as a starting pitcher and during her sophomore campaign in 2023, she was named to the All-SIAC first team as a starting pitcher.
Last year, Murphy was named to the second team as a designated player.
