Bradwell Institute’s Jacoby Pasley won three events at the Class AAAAA Sectional A track meet, earning a spot in each race at the state track meet.
Pasley won the 100-meter dash in 10.52 seconds, just ahead of Brunswick’s Antonio Clark Jr. He won the 200 in 21.48 seconds and took the 400 in 48.58.
Martavius Phillips won the 300-meter hurdles, posting a time of 39.43 seconds.
Jabarri Neal also qualified for the state meet with a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a best of 22 feet, 8 inches.
The boys 4x100 relay team finished eighth to qualify for the state meet.
Taneiha Bowman was third in the triple jump at 36-3 and fourth in the long jump at 16-8 to make the state meet in both events. Ta’tyana Anderson took fourth in the high jump to secure a berth in the girls state track meet.
Vicky Foday-Kapka was sixth in the girls 100 hurdles and in the 300 hurdles to earn spots in the state meet. The girls 4x200 relay team placed fifth to make the state meet field, and Jordyn Rogers was fifth in the shot put.
The Class 5A state track meet will be held May 9-10 at Rome’s Barron Stadium.
