An arrest has been made in a weekend fatal shooting.

Donte’ Faye has been arrested by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and charged with felony murder in a shooting incident that resulted in the death of Terrandall Williams Jr.

Two men were taken to the hospital after an argument ended in gunfire Friday night, according to authorities. The men were involved in a heated disagreement around 8 p.m., according to Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Quincy Melvin, and each man fired a weapon at the other. The incident occurred on Pulaski Street, and multiple shell casings were found at the scene.

Both were wounded and taken initially to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville and later to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Williams died Saturday morning at Memorial. Faye was released from the hospital and then arrested and charged.

The incident is still under investigation and more charges could be pending.
