Walmart reopened its Neighborhood Market located at 801a E General Stewart Way on Friday following a planned four-week closure for a rapid remodel, welcoming customers back with a refreshed shopping experience and community celebration.
The reopening was marked by a ribbon-cutting that brought together store associates and community members, highlighting the company’s continued investment in the local community.
“This store has been rooted in the community since 2016 and today’s celebration reflects how proud we are to continue growing and investing here,” said Doris Delgado, store manager. “While the remodel delivers a refreshed shopping experience for our customers, it also represents our ongoing commitment to supporting local families, community organizations, and the associates who serve this community every day.”
As part of the celebration, Walmart donated a total of $9,500 to local organizations making a positive impact in the community, including:

- One Hand Washes the Other, Inc $1,000

Special guests included Hinesville Mayor Karl Riles and representatives from the police and fire department.
During the celebration, Walmart also recognized associates who have dedicated more than 10 years of service to the company, including several associates who have been with the company more than 25 years.
The refreshed store includes:
- New paint, fixtures, signage, and updated lighting for a brighter, more inviting shopping environment.
- A reconfigured layout to provide more space and convenience for shoppers with expanded aisles.
- Enhancements to support increased demand for online grocery services and convenient grab and go selections.
- The pharmacy has been updated and enhanced to better serve customers’ health care needs.
