The Liberty County volleyball team snapped a short two-match slide with a win over Ware County on Tuesday.

The Lady Panthers downed the Lady Gators 25-19 and 25-17 behind five kills from Alannah Carter and 12 assists from Ava Guercio. Lydia Broughman registered 12 digs and Guercio added 10.

The win pushed the Lady Panthers, who are 2-3 in Region 3-AAAA, to 19-8 on the season.

Liberty had edged Wayne County 25-15 and 25-23 and swept Windsor Forest before dropping matches to West Laurens and Tift County. West Laurens rallied to win the final two sets 25-15 and 15-8 after Liberty opened with a 25-22 victory. The Lady Blue Devils claimed a 25-19, 25-18 win over the Lady Panthers.

Liberty travels to Savannah on Thursday to take on Savannah High and New Hampstead and returns to the home court September 29 against Harlem.
