Bradwell Institute’s Jacoby Pasley posted the fastest times in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter dashes at the Class 5A sectionals track meet Saturday.
Pasley turned in a time of 10.67 seconds in the 100 and finished the 200 in 21.39 seconds. He finished the 400 with a time of 48.14 seconds.
According to On3 and 247sports, Pasley also has committed to play football at West Virginia.
Bradwell’s 4x400 meter relay team posted a time of 3:22.84 to qualify for the state meet.
Martavius Phillips was sixth in the 300-meter hurdles at 39.58 seconds.
Bradwell’s girls 4x200 meter relay qualified for the state meet at 1:43.49, good for fifth among the competitors at the sectionals meet.
Jamaika Sumpter was sixth in the 100 at 12.22 seconds, earning a spot in the state meet. Nemiah Alston placed seventh in the 300 hurdles, crossing the line at 45.87 seconds, giving her seventh place and a berth in the state meet. Bradwell’s x 4x400 team took seventh at 4:08.61 and also earned a spot at the state meet, and the 4x100 team was seventh at 49.27 seconds.
The state championships will be held May 11-14 at the University of Georgia’s Spec Towns Track.
